Overview

LikeAds ("we," "us," "our") operates a self-serve advertising ad-tech platform connecting local businesses or individuals ("advertisers") with owners of outdoor and digital display screens ("screen partners") in urban major cities. This policy explains what information we collect when you use LikeAds — through our website, apps, our sign-up flow, or your account — and how we use, share, and protect it.

By creating an account or submitting information through LikeAds, you agree to the practices described in this policy and our terms of use. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly when you sign up, plus a small amount of information your device sends automatically.

If you sign up as an advertiser

• Business name
• Business category (e.g. restaurant, pharmacy, salon, retail, event)
• The area(s) in Cotonou you want your ad to run
• Your full name, phone number, and email address

If you sign up as a screen partner

• Network or business name
• Number of screens you operate
• Screen type(s) (e.g. LED billboard, transparent LCD, indoor display)
• Screen location(s)
• Your full name, phone number, and email address

Account information

• Email address and password, if you create an account directly
• Basic profile information (such as your name and email) if you choose to continue with Google, Apple, or Facebook instead

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information — such as browser type, device type, and general usage patterns — when you visit LikeAds. We use this only to keep the platform working reliably and secure; we do not currently use third-party advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To create and manage your advertiser or screen-partner account
• To match advertisers with relevant, available screens
• To let screen partners review and approve ads before they air, as described on our site
• To calculate and pay out revenue share owed to screen partners
• To contact you about your account, a submission, or your campaign
• To notify you when LikeAds launches or when features become available in your area
• To maintain the security and proper functioning of the platform

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Payments & mobile money

Advertisers fund campaigns using third-party mobile money services, including MTN MoMo, Moov Money, and Wave. When you make a payment, that transaction is processed directly by the relevant mobile money provider under its own privacy policy and terms — LikeAds does not store your mobile money PIN or full account credentials. We only receive confirmation that a payment was made, along with the amount and campaign it relates to.

How we share information

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only in the following situations:

• With screen partners — advertisers' ad creative and campaign details (not full contact information) are shared with the relevant screen partner so they can review and approve the ad before it airs.
• With payment providers — as described above, to process mobile money transactions.
• With service providers — companies that help us operate LikeAds (such as cloud hosting and form-submission tools), bound to only use your information to provide that service to us.
• For legal reasons — if required to comply with applicable law, regulation, or a valid legal request.
• With your consent — in any other case, only if you've told us it's okay.

Data storage & security

We use reputable, secure cloud-based tools to store and process the information described above, with access limited to those who need it to operate LikeAds. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so while we work to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the platform, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll remove or anonymize your personal information except where we're required or permitted to keep it for legal reasons.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your information
• Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent, where we're relying on it, at any time

Cookies

LikeAds uses only the minimal cookies or local storage necessary to keep you logged in and remember basic preferences as you move through the site. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy.

Children's privacy

LikeAds is intended for business owners and screen operators, and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, as LikeAds launches new features or as our legal obligations change. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and where changes are significant, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know directly.
